A day in the backcountry refreshing your AST1 skills.
We will be covering the following:
Emphasis on hands-on practice, including performing column tests, identifying layers in the snowpack, and multi-burial rescue scenarios using beacon marking function.
“I did an AST1 refresher course during the Victorian BC Festival. If you’ve done groundwork before and want to brush up this is an efficient and quality way to do it. Kyle was excellent - really knowledgeable guide, legit qualifications, and a thoughtful educator. We were helped by some pretty interesting snowpack, volatile weather, and epic ski conditions at Hotham, which validated the need for these courses in Aus... Highly recommend!” - Dan, 2019
